In the UK, up to 40% of cancers could be prevented by a change of lifestyle. So there are things that you can do that make getting cancer less likely. Making small changes like the ones below could drastically reduce your risk.

  • Stop smoking
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet
  • Reduce your alcohol intake
  • Keep physically active
  • Reduce your time in the sun

The Macmillan Cancer Support website has more information about how a healthy lifestyle can help reduce your chances of developing cancer or you could talk to your doctor or pharmacist about ways they can help.
