Have your say - NHS England consults public about Evidence-Based Interventions
30 Jul 2018, 11:16
The NHS in Hertfordshire is amplifying the message to ‘Help us help you stay well this winter’ by displaying posters on local buses and digitally over social media to Herts audiences.
The displays are both on the back and inside of local busses so people not taking public transport will still see them too – please look out for them!
The winter months put significant increased pressure on parts of the NHS system, posing an annual challenge to the NHS as a whole. The displays on the buses encourage people to visit their pharmacist at the first signs of them coming down with a winter illness.
The people most vulnerable to developing illness over winter are:
Pregnant women and parents with 2-5 year olds
Friends and family
People with long term conditions
To connect with as wide an audience as possible, we are displaying images on buses all over the west Hertfordshire area – from Rickmansworth to St Albans and everywhere in between. We are also raising awareness on social media with a mixture of pictures and videos.
Our aim is to spread the word about getting the flu jab, encourage people to take prompt action at the first signs of feeling unwell and offer advice on how you can be prepared and look after yourself if you do become unwell..
By following our advice, you can help NHS experts help you stay well, prevent an illness getting worse, take the best course of action and get well again.
