Continued improvement for hospital services following Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is continuing to make good progress since being taken out of special measures in 2018, according to results from an inspection earlier this year.

A partial inspection by the CQC in February and March looked at urgent and emergency services, medical care and surgery as well as a review of the leadership team and 'use of resources' – a measure to assess financial management.

The overall rating remains as 'requires improvement' but there have been a number of improvements, with some ratings jumping two places from 'inadequate' to 'good'.
