Juliet Rodgers, Associate Director of Communications and Engagement
Non-voting member - I joined the NHS at the start of 2009, working initially for Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust. I was brought in as the lead for communications and engagement with Herts Valleys CCG when it first launched, in 2013. My previous roles were mostly in London housing associations, most recently in policy and communications. Here at Herts Valleys I head up a team that manages communications with staff, our member practices and the wider local population. This means running campaigns including managing winter, handling social media and working with local newspapers too.
In our team we also lead on patient and public participation - working hard to make sure we listen to the views of local people in our decision-making and indeed in all the work we do.
Away from work: I run, I am an enthusiastic outdoor swimmer (including in the chilly winter months), I sing with a small jazz choir and am a member of a neighbourhood book group (which is just as focussed on the food we eat on book group nights). My grown up kids still take up a whole chunk of my time too.
