Easter weekend health services

Most GP practices will be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Opening hours may vary so please visit your practice website for specific opening hours and contact details.   Please don’t turn up at your GP practice, call first for advice.

Local GP practices are working incredibly hard to provide healthcare advice and support to local patients. GPs are working mainly over the telephone or via video consultations instead of face-to-face at the moment, to help patients and staff stay safe. GPs can still see patients face-to-face if there is a  medical reason to do so; but this will be determined by telephone triage or video consultation first.

If you need advice about possible coronavirus symptoms then visit www.111.nhs.uk/service/COVID-19/

On Saturday 11 April and Easter Sunday the usual ‘Extended Access’ appointments will be available, again contact your GP surgery for advice or visit: www.hertsvalleysccg.nhs.uk/your-services/local-services/gp-extended-access-appointments

The majority of pharmacies will open between 2pm and 5pm on Good Friday and Easter Monday (10 and 13 April) with normal Saturday hours on 11 April.  Find further details about pharmacy services on the NHS website. www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-pharmacy

For all urgent health concerns over the weekend please visit 111 online 111.nhs.uk

Only ring 999 in an emergency.
