Thida Win, secondary care consultant
I got my primary medical qualification in Myanmar in 1993. I gained my Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2002 and have been a consultant in general and respiratory medicine at East and North Herts NHS Trust for more than a decade. My management experience includes: Lead for the clinical study group (respiratory) at East of England Academic Health Science Network, lung cancer chair for Herts and Beds Cancer Network and clinical director (respiratory) for East of England Strategic Clinical Network. I have a commitment to education and research - I was appointed honorary professor of clinical medicine (University of Buckingham) and honorary reader (University College London).
Outside of medicine, I am married with two sons. I enjoy gardening, aquarium fish keeping, snorkelling, cooking, sewing and shopping.
